Allcomers Music courses are focused around mixed ability ensembles that cater for adult learners and musicians returning to playing as well as those with considerable experience and confidence. By working together in such groups Allcomers ensembles achieve fantastic performances as well as boosting the confidence, commitment and skills of those taklng part. The Allcomers' courses listed on this site cater for string players.

Courses are characterised by a variety of music covering all periods of orchestral and chamber classical music, including modern and contemporary works. Non-classical genres and traditions also feature, such as gypsy jazz and music from East European traditions.

Courses are led by distinguished musicians who command successful professional careers as well as being inspirational teachers. All provide a supportive, friendly and encouraging environment conducive to learning, building confidence and making real progress as a musician. A popular feature are concerts given by the tutors.
